indigenous peoples
The indigenous peoples are the first inhabitants of Canada. They have a rich spiritual beliefs and cultural traditions, passed down from generation to generation.
The Constitution of 1982 recognizes the existence of three major groups of indigenous peoples in Canada: First Nations (once "Indians" called), the Inuit (formerly known as Eskimos), the first indigenous people were in Canada and the Métis , which formed after the formation of Canada.
